The truth behind this Costa Rican Photographer

The truth behind this Costa Rican Photographer

The truth is that I'm not only wedding photographer. I do many kinds of photography, paid or just for fun. I actually have a full time job as commercial and editorial photographer with a little bit photojournalism and lifestyle.

I work for a little coffee company here in Costa Rica. Since we only have a coffee season here, that means, one season to get all the images and video for advertising, social media and publications for the whole year.

So this is when I turn into photojournalist. I go into the field and get close to people, has conversations, make jokes and try to fit so they forget about the camera.  I take portraits, details, landscapes and expressions.

Then the coffee season is over I work more editorial and lifestyle content. Usually for blogging and social media. This images should also look very natural and spontaneous without loosing the small details that make it look elegant and styled. This work also requires visit locations

And finally the studio work, fully commercial but also keeping a fresh look and always appealing to the eyes and taste. Also the style should match with the other content so the visuals of the brand has unit.

I feel blessed to have the opportunity of taking all this kind of pictures and feel how my experience and quality of work is growing. Having a specific field of action is great, but everybody has a different path and I love to be a "swiss army knife photographer"  like the great Joe Mcnally says.
